Shayok Mukhopadhyay
Shayok Mukhopadhyay grew up in India, and graduated from the Documentary Photography and Photojournalism program at the International Center of Photography, New York.
His first solo photography exhibition, Québec, took place at Katharine Mulherin Projects in Toronto in 2013. He was selected for the Bronx Museum's 2016 Artist-in-the-Marketplace program. His short films include CHAROK (official selection at the 2015 Portland Film Festival, Bali International Film Festival) and COUNTING THE WAVES (2016). He has also made shorts for Euronews and RAI (Italian public television).
He is currently in post-production on his first feature documentary, GAUTAM AND BUDDHA. It was selected for the 2016 IFP Doc Lab. He was awarded a NYSCA/NYFA Fellowship in 2018.
